Church Administrative Assistant

Calvary United Methodist Church, located on Leonardtown Road in Waldorf, is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to provide support to its congregation and ministries. This position is for up to 12 hours per week with some seasonal overtime, when needed.
At Calvary, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for all aspects of the Church’s non-financial administrative affairs. Key responsibilities include serving as the Pastor’s secretary, drafting and publishing the weekly bulletin, preparing and maintaining the annual Charge Conference and Statistical reports and publishing the annual church telephone directory. Additional responsibilities include greeting and assisting in-person and telephone visitors, conducting correspondence and assisting with the content on the church’s website.
Strong inter-personal skills, willingness to interact compassionately with strangers and a familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Publisher) are required.
